Successful Meetings

This program is based around a series of skills that are considered basic in participating in both formal and informal meetings, and leading these meetings. The level of these skills has been pitched deliberately at the new Rostrum member, and therefore they have been kept as simple as possible. Thus, for example, this program deals with the skill of moving a motion but does not ask that the member deal with amendments to a motion. Similarly, the skill of conducting a meeting deals as much with time management and keeping the meeting interesting rather than the skills of dealing with motions. Such higher level skills are the subject of more advanced development programs.
